We have 18 ensuite rooms, which are fully equipped with TV aerial and dedicated phone socket, free wifi access and personal nurse call point system. We encourage our residents to personalise rooms as they wish.
As well as a private room, residents can make full use of amenities in the rest of the home. We have a wide range of indoor areas in which to socialise as well as extensive landscaped gardens.

"My mother has been a resident there for the last year and has settled in quite quickly. The staff are attentive, very friendly and thoughtful with regard to my mother's needs. The activities are varied and fun, along with little trips out to tea dances and art clubs for those who are interested. There is a lovely large garden for sitting out in during the summer, plus gardening activities again for those who enjoy planting flowers. Being a small home, all the residents know each other which adds to its homely feel and atmosphere."- April 2024
"The staff at the Crown Rest home are quite simply - 'second to none'. They provide world-class care for their residents, nothing is too much trouble for them and they are meticulous in their attention to detail when dealing with residents. They create a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for both those they care for as well as visitors. Recently my father suffered a medical emergency which was dealt with in an extremely efficient and professional manner. I cannot praise the staff highly enough. The premises are comfortable and well maintained and very clean. Having visited many care homes during my working career, this is by far the best and the one I entrusted to look after my own father. I have not been disappointed. Thank you everyone at the Crown Rest Home."

"Mum spent the last 7 months at The Crown, moving her from a home in another town. The level of care The Crown provides is outstanding, nothing is too much trouble, the staff are lovely, genuine, compassionate and caring, the previous home is seriously lacking in comparison. Mum felt settled and well looked after. We were able to take her own furniture in and make her room her own. What struck me was how clean the home is, absolutely spotless and odourless. Whenever I went into the sitting room other residents were gathered and they all seemed so happy and content, often doing activities or chatting, such a lovely atmosphere. A special thank you to two members of staff in particular who were there for Mum throughout her stay and particularly took great care of her in her final days. One thing to mention, when my mum arrived it was under new ownership, my concern was it may not maintain the high standards it had a good reputation for, but I didn't need to worry, the place has been outstanding from the start."
